GRAD TX Expanding to Include Five More Universities

Posted on 7/22/2013 by AcademyOne

Grad TX is expanding to provide adult learners in Texas with more opportunities to return to college and finish their degrees.

WGU Texas is the first of five additional institutions chosen by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to be added to the Grad TX web portal, on which eight universities already participate.

Developed and deployed by AcademyOne in 2011, Grad TX is targeted to reengage the large population of adult learners in Texas who have some postsecondary experience but left college before finishing a degree. By leveraging the features on Grad TX, users can:

  • Calculate how previous coursework will count toward a degree at a participating university.
  • Connect with university counselors who offer personalized guidance for returning adults.
  • Find transfer-related information, enrollment resources and financial aid information.

Knowing how to take advantage of the coursework they have already completed, including corporate training and professional development experience provides Texas adults with a powerful incentive to finish their education. Now, as more universities like WGU Texas join the Grad TX program, adult students can receive the assistance and support they need to return to college and earn a degree in the most time-efficient manner.
