The web-based financial literacy solution developed by AcademyOne integrates with the college's current software systems to help drive degree completion while minimizing the burden of debt. An Integrated Planning & Advising for Student Success (iPASS) grant awarded by EDUCAUSE funded the project.
With the software, MCCC has extended its academic advising platform to include career and financial planning to help students make more informed borrowing decisions. Using MyFinancialPlan, students are better able to determine how much time and money it will cost to complete a degree taking into consideration their financial aid award package and personal investment. They can also estimate what future loan repayments will look like based on labor information for careers in their chosen program of study.
